Collection of Collections, Workshop with Maria de la O Garrido
Collection of Collections is a creative workshop led by artist Maria de la O Garrido, designed for photographers with an interest and curiosity for contemporary art, creativity and image.
After visiting CLASSifications and reflecting on the work exhibited, María will invite participants to observe their surroundings carefully, and to use the collection of materials provided inspired by each of the artist on display (including images, words, or objects) to make a physical piece of work where they can apply their reflections on the topic they choose. This workshop focuses on exploring the creative potential of the materials provided while applying your personal experiences and critical thinking. María will introduce techniques like expanded collage (installation-based artwork) to spark your creativity, using personal reflection as a powerful tool for artistic expression.
This event has kindly been supported by Photo Fringe, as part of this year’s festival ‘Common Ground’. Find out more about Photo Fringe here.
