Family Saturdays
Join us at our weekly arts and crafts workshop for all the family to enjoy!
At Family Saturdays, participants can take part in fun exploratory creative activities inspired by our current exhibitions and projects.
From painting to model making, collaging and inventing, budding young artists can learn new artistic techniques in a supportive and nurturing creative space with other young children and families. These relaxed sessions are designed to suit all ages and abilities, and all materials are provided.
How to book
Due to high attendance, we are trialling a new format for this workshop. There will be four half-hour sessions: 11am-11.30am, 11.30am-12pm, 12pm-12.30pm, and 12.30pm-1pm.
You will need to book a specific time slot at the front desk. Places are allocated on the day on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 30 attendees per session (including children and guardians).
If your preferred time slot is fully booked, you are welcome to reserve another session and explore our exhibitions while you wait.
The suggested donation for Family Saturdays is £3 per participant. You can make a donation at the venue. All donations will help us continue to deliver our programme of accessible art activities and workshops.
Accessibility
Family Saturdays takes place in the Communal Space on the ground floor and has step free access. The session may become noisy at times due to the nature of the workshops. For those with noise sensitivity, you are welcome to bring along your own ear protectors or ear plugs. More information about accessibility at Aspex can be found on our website here
Aspex Portsmouth is proud to be a Family Arts Standard recognised charity.
