Communal Showcase

Join us at Aspex Portsmouth for Communal Showcase, an afternoon celebrating the artists and voices of Aspex’s 2025 COMMUNAL programme.

Across the afternoon, the gallery will come alive with performance, dance, music and art, offering moments to pause, watch, listen and connect. Featuring showcases from local poet Annette Wincott and Gig Buddies, a talk from photographers Eddie Stenström and Thaïs Verhasselt on their project Chosen Kin, and a vibrant performance from Alchemy of Art, the work presented has been developed through COMMUNAL, shaped by collaboration, experimentation and sharing of the cultures and ideas of the artists involved.

During the event, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the Community Panel, a volunteer group who work alongside us to help shape programmes including COMMUNAL. We’ll be sharing information about how the panel works and how you can apply to get involved.
