PARCS History Safe Workshop

This workshop offers students, historians, and those working in the voluntary sector insights taken from the experience of an Oral History project celebrating the history and legacy of a rape crisis centre.

Led by Anna Cole and Catherine Rowland of the PARCS Grows Everybody project, the workshop will explore how we can best preserve the history of grassroots organisations working with sensitive issues and topics, and how to create and sustain a relational approach to working together to keep histories safe into the future.

This will be an interactive workshop. It will involve some key content discussion including ‘tools’ with experiential examples, and opportunities for students, practitioners and anyone interested in working on engaged, ethical and relational projects to get support and fresh perspectives.’
