About Wood and Daughters

Wood and Daughters are a mother and daughter duo, sharing their enthusiasm and passion for making and bringing together their life-long creative interests. They are multidisciplinary artists, specialising in fine art, textiles and graphic design.

This workshop responds to Aspexs’ current craft exhibition Assemble. A multi-disciplinary exhibition exploring how different assemblages, disciplines and materials can coexist to create contemporary artwork.

Assemble features works from three contemporary makers – Cassia Beck, Faye Hall, and Mia Parkinson, who have been brought together because of their imaginative and exquisite mixed-media creations. The works demonstrate the delicate balance of using natural and hand-made techniques and reminds us of the importance of organic processes.
