Hannah Horn
Hannah is a fine artist and illustrator based in the South of England. Her work draws inspiration from the natural world while also invoking surreal and often fantastical elements. With an eye for composition, she utilises a combination of paint and highly detailed pen and ink line-work, blending to create elegant and beautiful images. Originally studying Fashion Illustration at London College of Fashion, Hannah has gone on to create artwork for award winning children’s books, advertising agencies, fashion houses and much more.
In the artists studio at Aspex Hannah Horn will be producing a series of public art works for Secrets of the Solent, commissioned by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Secrets of the Solent is a four-year project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, shining a spotlight on our vibrant local marine environment. Through citizen science, volunteering, creative art projects and promoting sustainable seafood HIWWT are raising awareness and appreciation for the Solent’s wonderful marine species and habitats; as well as championing support for its future.
Hannah Horn and local communities are celebrating what is special about the Solent to them by creating a giant jigsaw depicting a map of the Solent, and highlighting some of its special species and habitats. Each of the six pieces of the jigsaw will be hung on a prominent wall around the Solent coastline for everyone to be inspired.
