Karl Bailey

Karl Bailey is a British documentary photographer. His practice has been primarily concentrated in Portsmouth, observing the everyday, history, and collective and personal memory of the city, including the changing urban landscape and how people interact with it. All of this comes together to establish what Bailey describes a unique ‘Pompey’ identity.

During his residency Bailey is exploring ideas about wealth and community, and the differences between the north and south of Portsea Island.
