Getting Started with Art: Carers Zoom
Join experienced artist educators, and lead artists of the successful Generate group, Abi Wheeler and Roy Eneas, and guest artist Kim Whitby, who will talk you through the process of supporting someone with dementia to get started with art.
In response to Covid-19, we have developed a free educational resource, which we hope will support carers in feeling confident to instigate arts activities with those they are caring for. It provides really simple practical advice and ideas of activities, which you can adapt and try at home. Click here to download 'Getting started with art: A resource for carers of people with dementia' (PDF).
To complement the resource, join us for a series of three Zoom talks led by artists Abi Wheeler, Roy Eneas and Kim Whitby. Each session will look at a different chapter of the resource. The artists will provide support through practical demonstrations and you will have a chance to discuss any queries you may have.
You do not need to attend every session, but each session will bring a different perspective on the resource. Although artists will focus on their chapter, they may also be able to answer more general questions.
