Holiday Art Club | Making Myths

Holiday Art Club | Making Myths

20 Feb

Join Aspex for the first Holiday Art Club of the year! An exciting day long workshop for children aged 8-12.

Discover Aspex’s latest exhibition (Daphne by Sarah Taylor-Silverwood) through exploring creative processes and learning artistic techniques. We will look at how artists use visual elements such as colour, texture and form to help tell stories, and put this into practice with fun creative exercises.

The workshop will be focusing on Greek Myths. We will be storyboarding and constructing scenes from chosen myths using paper craft, collage, painting and drawing techniques. Young people will come away with their own paper diorama artwork - a 3D multi layer, mixed media image from their favourite myth.

No prior experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in. We believe in delivering inspiring, quality activities for young people to aid their creative development in an inclusive and supportive environment.

The session will run from 10.00 - 15.00hrs with a break for lunch.

Lunch can be brought from home, or ordered from our cafe partners Port Coffee.
